A development by a major national house builder in a popular countryside village near the South Coast. The site consists of 110 units with a mix of apartments and houses.

Barkemp were instructed in 2019 and work is ongoing.

Summary:

Barkemp carried out works on behalf of a major national house builder for their site near the South Coast. The site consists of 110 units with a mix of flats and houses in a popular countryside village in Sussex.

Before Groundworks could commence considerable Section 278 enabling work had to be undertaken to nearby roads.

The site has been constructed on deep pile foundations. The site also included a network of balancing ponds, balancing stations and hydro brakes in order to deal with foul and storm water on the site.

In order to reflect the local landscape and the South Downs National Park sympathetic materials were used and an ecology pond was created.

The site is due to be finished in April 2022
